Encoder Connector
The VTB Beast motor uses circular connectors via IMD (In-Mold Decoration) technique for seamless integration with other VTB products at IP67 waterproof rating. Square-shape connectors are also available for use with a separate controller — note these carry a higher risk of water ingress as the PVC wire does not have full coverage.
Sensing Method
The VTB Beast uses an encoder rather than Hall sensors. While Hall sensors offer broad compatibility, they underperform in speed feedback and throttle sensitivity — especially during obstacle riding, wheelies, or traction loss events. Encoders provide faster response and greater precision, making them the premium choice for performance-focused riders.
